About Matt
I’m a lead developer at Tui Interactive Media. I help to plan and build web sites for a variety of clients, from well-known corporates to small, personal sites. I’ve been there since 2003, but I’ve been on the net since 1994, and designing and coding for most of that time.
I live in Wood Green, a little way out from central London, and I like to read, cook, socialise, and tinker with code.
I’m not all that lazy, and I’m not a cat either (in fact I’m allergic to them), but I do think they’re wonderful creatures, especially when they belong to someone else.
I’m outspoken, although I try not to out-speak others. My beliefs are largely humanist, and my politics are quite aggressively liberal (for "give quiche a chance" values of aggressive), but I’m aware that my opinions do not define reality, and I try not to force them on others. I greatly value creativity, curiosity, rational inquiry, comedy, and imagination.
I enjoy being creative. Figuring out the best way to code something, and designing the best interface to let people get stuff done is the part of my job I like the most. Sometimes I find the time to be creative outside of work, and when I do (and it's neat enough), I put it on this site.
